This Week's Stories - Dec 4 - 10
grab your coffee and tea and settle down to read!
Welcome readers to this week’s newsletter!
First of all, some news! I’ve subscribed to Medium and have now started my own (personal) publication! What are Publications? They’re places where you can submit your writing to on Medium - some are small (but growing) and some are large and have many followers. But sometimes I just want to self publish my writing on Medium without having to send it to a publication. And one of the benefits of being a Subscribing member ($5/month or $50/year) is you can create your own publication. Now most people who create publications do so in order to run it like a magazine, with contributing writers and editors, allowing other writers to submit their articles to them. However, you can always just do your publication so you can organize your content in the way that you want - like a website - which is what I’ve done!
You can check it out by clicking the picture below. And if you’re a Medium member, I’d love for you to follow my publication so you can get all my self-published pieces that I don’t submit to a Publication in a neat way.
And then let’s get into the stories!
This is a short open ended story, that has a fun twist with some famous characters from literature!
A short story about a strange mysterious organization.
I wrote this poem as an assignment back in Grade 10 in highschool. Years later I put it in a book of self-published poetry, and it was the first poem in it. I’ll be sharing all the other poems from my poetry book, that I’ll be publishing on Medium, here in this newsletter as well.
Or if you’d rather read it on Medium go here.
This article is about how I became a yoga teacher after starting a daily yoga practice when my mom died in December 2015. Click the photo to read it on Medium. Want to read it on Vocal instead? Go here.
This is the first of my series of vampire research articles, that I wrote back in 2002 after strangely getting involved with a real-life vampire community, after writing a paper on the myth and meaning of the vampire throughout history back in University for a Sociology class (and note: I am not a Goth!). This article is on Vocal but I’ll soon be publishing all of them on Medium, in the New Year. Click the photo to read it!
Thanks for reading this week’s stories, articles and poetry! Wishing you a great weekend! If you enjoyed this newsletter, please consider sharing or subscribing below!
