Thank you Caitlin, much wisdom in your words. They find me, synchronistically, at a time of feeling somewhat lost as to my life’s direction, and so this is a good reframing, a reminder to march to my own drummer and be open to paths that are not obvious. 😊
You're welcome Eric! I always find it interesting that what we seemingly need to hear finds us at the right time! Like how every Yoga with Adriene video on her monthly calendars seems to be exactly what I need on that day, too! 😄 I'm going to be sharing a post tomorrow in a slightly similar vein (but not totally). More of a: Why am I not HERE in my life right now? Just more of a philosophical life reflection than anything (and envy towards Jason Segel! 😆 you'll find out more tomorrow!)
Wonderful words of wisdom!!! Those ideas you give voice to are so valuable in a world that rewards the streamlined, the prescribed, the predicted. Those ideas are like an inoculation against misplaced self doubts or tendencies to judge deviation from a specific path as a kind of "lost-the-track-failure". I believe that we are NEVER truly lost, we are ALWAYS where we need to be, and sometimes also creative enough to follow Life's incentive and improvise, invent or innovate our path. Of course there are no ready-made signposts on that one. Maria
Thank you! Yes, i also believe we're meant to be where we are at any point in our lives and we have lessons to learn from all of it! Thank you for reading 😊
This is so true. I am currently navigating education for 2 of my kids who don't fit in traditional school settings. I feel lost some times but I remember, as you said, the path is not always straight, clear or obvious. Hope you're well friend, I'll share a link to this in my round up on Sunday.
Oh that's must be challenging finding education styles that fit your kids.. it's hard to find a path that breaks out of the traditional molds of society. And thanks for the future roundup mention! 😊
Thanks for this post. Gave me a method to instantly reframe feelings of lack of a clear path.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful.

Not all who wander are lost. Wandering is one way of exploring. Thanks.
Yes! Exactly!! Thanks for reading

At least for myself, when I am wandering, I am not lost, but when I am lost, I am hurrying or standing still looking at a map or something.
And yes, when I lost my way, sometimes I found something nice. A beautiful place, a café, whatever.
