It’s been ten months since Dose of Wonder first tiptoed into the world on Substack — and I just wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for being here.
Whether you’ve been following along from the earliest whisperings of this space, or you just recently stumbled in through a doorway titled The Psychology of Awe or one of my Soft Invitations Notes or my weekly podcast, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve been writing online for a long time, but Substack offered something new — a place to build not just a publication, but a relationship. A rhythm. A home for my favourite kind of storytelling: gentle, grounded, subtly luminous.
When I started this newsletter ten months ago, I had a lot of hope, but not a lot of structure. I knew I wanted to write about wonder and psychology, about grief and softness and the tiny unexpected things that make life feel worth waking up for. But it took some time for the pieces to click into place. For the rhythm to find me.
Now, nearly a year in, it’s happening. I feel it. Dose of Wonder is becoming exactly what I hoped it might grow into — a soft, sturdy place to land, for all of us.
Every thread of it — from the Thursday essays in the “Psychology Meets Wonder” series, to my new Tuesday repost Notes and my Sunday podcast episodes to the evolving world of Wonder Kits (still to be launched and is waiting behind the scenes!) — is stitched with intention and care. It’s not flashy. It’s not fast. But it’s true and authentic. And if you’re still reading this, I think you feel that, too.

Some of you have told me this space helps you feel less alone. Some say it reminds you to breathe. Some say it makes you feel seen, in ways that are hard to explain. I hope so. That’s what I want. That’s the kind of writing I believe in — the kind that softens your harsh inner voice and gives you a little more courage to be who you already are.
I’ll keep writing from that place.
And I hope Dose of Wonder keeps being a place you want to come back to.
