I feel the same way. I know others feel differently and I respect that. For me, this is a vehicle for connection and sharing.

yes, I totally respect that others feel differently and use Substack in a different way, but to me, the world puts enough pressure on us without us having to put more pressure on ourselves trying to live up to Paid Subscribers expectations of content! :)

I love this approach, and it makes a refreshing change from the seemingly endless articles about how to grow and monetise Substack. It's too much pressure and stops this space from feeling like the cosy little corner of the internet that it should be!

Thank you! Yes, exactly! And monetizing your Substack also puts a lot of pressure on you, the writer, to put out high quality content consistently, and try to diversify to offer your paid subscribers value for money. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it can be a lot of work and pressure on yourself that you might not want, if all you really want to do is write and share your experiences, just for the sake of doing that...
