Thanks for linking back to this post on your recent musings on noticing. I missed this one -- and I'm definitely interested. I'll have to give a think about what it is that I might offer but you can expect an email from me soon, I hope!
This thing about unsplash is a big issue. Of course, we should give credit to the photographers on unsplash.
However, as, from my place, unsplash is only available via Substack web app, I don’t see any possibility to prepare a new, unpublished article in a Word file.
For simplicity, I’d prefer to send you the links to some of my posts I have already published. Is that okay by a direct message via Substack app, maybe?
Hi, you can use Unsplash photos on the website too! You just choose the picture icon and choose 'add stock photo', and then you save that photo to your computer and then put it in the word document. It's not just in the app only. And you can always add the unsplash photo into the word document you email me with the name of the person on Unsplash and I can manually add it as a caption under the photo on Substack! You can just add the photo into your word document and say 'photo by (whoever) on Unsplash. Then I can properly credit it :)
i'm sorry you're having issues with the app. I can always look for a photo for your article if it's too much trouble to send me an image in a word document. and if you have trouble using the stock photos on Substack. you could also just copy and paste your article into an email to me if the word document is too hard as well to make it easier. Writing a new article as a guest post is better because it's fresh content for me to share and also for you to then cross-post to your Substack.
But I could do one you've already written if that's easier...if you want to give me a link to one of your articles that you think would fit my publication, I can schedule it to be published at a certain date and add you as the writer...
I should’ve addressed that Caitlin, I’m sorry. My head is funky and my words weren’t forming. But yes, I will look through things already written and if nothing fits, I’ll probably write something new soon. I just posted one yesterday morning. I’ll give you a shout. Thanks again!
No worries! And no rush! It's best to send something new, because can share on my publication to my subscribers/followers, and then you can cross post it to your own Substack/audience so it's double the exposure! ☺️
I have a podcast called Eastern Shore Talk where we talk all things self care….mind body and soul…. would be glad to connect with like minded folks here but finding it difficult…..
Thanks so much....I am new to Substack and will be posting notes about our most recent episodes as they drop, as well as telling my story and how I came to this much healthier place in my life.....so much I would like to share here in this new medium.....
I started in this genre and then switched to fiction. Do you want the whole article sent in the email? I wasn't quite clear if you wanted a pitch first.
if you think your article fits under any of the themes I mention, feel free to send the whole article in the email! :) (and any images you want added as your article image for example - from Unsplash (the stock photo gallery on Substack) or wherever - if from somewhere else - please put the credit so i can include that :) )

Sounds great! 😊
Great opportunity, which I cannot use.

To handle
Look, cannot even edit comments here. It takes me five tries to place the cursor on a typo and not in the line below or above!
Let’s make things the most simple as possible.
I cannot do this in the app anyway.
The captions are difficult zu Handke technically I cannot copy and paste them. If I try, they vanish.

What a great idea. Thank you, Caitlin!
You're welcome Olivia! Hopefully I'll see a submission from you at some point?! ☺️🥰

Yes definitely.
Thank you for offering this opportunity! Are you seeking *only* new writing / writing that has not been published previously on my Substack?
I can send you a link to the post that I have in mind (can be edited to suit).
Yes, new content! It doesn't make much sense to publish something that already is on Substack- that content can just be shared by others 😊
I think I may be interested in a guest writer spot! Love what you're doing here! Thinking on it.....
Happy to hear it! I look forward to hearing from you whenever you feel like submitting something! 😊
Hi Caitlin,
Firstly, thank you so much for recommending my publication 🙏
I would love to contribute something to your newsletter. I shall be submitting something soon 🤗
Hi Lindsey! Great! i look forward to your submission whenever you send it! :) <3
I have a podcast called Eastern Shore Talk where we talk all things self care….mind body and soul…. would be glad to connect with like minded folks here but finding it difficult…..
That sounds great! If you want to write an article promoting your self care podcast, I'd be happy to share it on my publication!
